Access Control

Qluent is designed with security and control at its core. This page outlines how you can manage access to your workspace and monitor activity.

Role-based permissions

Every user in a Qluent project is assigned one of three roles:

RolePermissions
OwnerFull control. Can manage project settings, invite or remove users, change user roles, and access all features.
EditorCan create and modify content, run queries, and manage data sources. Cannot change project settings or manage users.
ViewerRead-only access. Can view shared user posts. Cannot make changes.

Managing users

Project owners can manage access at any time:

  • Invite users: Add team members by email address. They'll receive an invitation and gain access upon signing in.
  • Change roles: Adjust a user's role as their responsibilities change.
  • Remove access: Revoke a user's access instantly when needed.

All access is project-scoped — users only see projects they've been explicitly invited to.

Authentication

Qluent supports multiple authentication methods:

  • Single Sign-On (SSO): Google, Microsoft, and GitHub
  • Email and password: Traditional login with email verification

Your organization can choose which authentication methods to enable.

Audit logs

Qluent maintains activity logs to help you monitor usage within your workspace.

What we log

  • User sign-ins and access events
  • Queries executed and reports generated
  • Changes to project settings and user permissions
  • Data source connections and modifications
